Dear Colleagues
As we approach the end of another successful term, we wanted to take a moment to thank you for your hard work and dedication in representing St Lawrence College. Your efforts have played a crucial role in showcasing the unique offerings of our school to prospective students and their families. I also have some exciting updates and opportunities to share with you.
Accolades and Achievements
We are proud to share some of the recent accolades and achievements that highlight the excellence of St Lawrence College.
This week, the Independent School Parent Magazine announced the shortlist for the Independent School of the Year Awards 2024. I am delighted to share that we have been shortlisted in two categories:
Independent Prep School of the Year
Independent School of the Year for Sporting Achievement
With a record number of entries this year, it is a real achievement for St Lawrence.
• Top Ranking: St Lawrence is ranked amongst the top 5% sports schools in the UK and our sporting success continues. The term finished with a fantastic cricket week, our U15 girls played superbly well to make it to the Quarter Finals of the National Cricket Cup and our U14A XI won the Kent County Plate Competition.
• Award Winners 2024
Private Education Awards 2024 has recognised St Lawrence for the second year in a row for our dedication to every pupil in our outstanding school. St Lawrence are winners in the following two categories:
Most Nurturing Co-Educational Independent School 2024 – South East England
Best Boarding & Day School 2024 – South East England
This distinguished awards programme celebrates the best of the best in the private education sector, recognising outstanding institutions and educators who have made a positive difference in this field, honouring their dedication to providing excellent educational opportunities.
In the Muddy Stilettos Best Schools Awards 2024 we have received a Highly Commended Award for our pupils’ outstanding “Fastidious Food Waste Fighters” initiative, which aims to reduce food waste and promote sustainability.
Highly Commended in Championing Sustainability
Student Achievements: Our students continue to excel in various fields, from winning national competitions to securing highly competitive university offers. Arabella was a prizewinner in her age category at the Canterbury Art Prize, Lara also clinched first prize as the Young Miniature Artist of the year and Art Scholar Tara was placed second nationally in the 2024 Rotary Young Artist Competition. And finally, yesterday, Miller placed 5th in the 800m at the National Prep School Athletics Championships.

Summer Admissions and Tours
Our campus remains open throughout the summer for admissions and tours. This is an ideal time for prospective students to visit and experience the vibrant atmosphere of St Lawrence College. We encourage you to promote these tours to your networks and are a fantastic way for students to get a feel for the campus.
