Why St Lawrence?

A caring community of kindness, positivity and respect.

Junior School

Based on the same campus as the Senior School, the Junior School (or Prep) pupils have use of all facilities, not just those specific to the Junior School. Facilities include two Forest Schools, indoor heated Swimming Pool, Sports Centre, Rugby and Cricket pitches. Boarding from 7 to 13 is provided in modern, spacious and bright dormitories that are all en-suite.

Senior School

80-acre campus based on the beautiful Kent coast.  We are a traditional Boarding School with a modern outlook, welcoming children from all around the world. Diversity makes us a cosmopolitan and vibrant place, where pupils leave us prepared, socially and academically, for the challenges of the globalised world of work and study.

Academics

St Lawrence has a dedicated team of teachers, which together with small classes provide our pupils with the individual attention they need. We pride ourselves on the fact that we can stretch and challenge pupils of all abilities and have a well-deserved reputation for bringing out the best in our students and producing confident, compassionate and capable individuals. With a great balance of boarding and day pupils, boys and girls, and a diverse range of nationalities, St Lawrence provides a wonderful, inclusive community in which to grow and learn.

Our aim is to ensure that every individual achieves their potential and this is most clearly illustrated in our excellent Value Added academic results. A combination of enthusiastic teachers, a broad and challenging curriculum, strong work ethic and focus on core educational skills combine to provide a stimulating, inspiring and purposeful learning experience for our pupils. All of this is underpinned by High Performance Learning; an understanding that intelligence is not fixed and that high performance in education is achievable by all. We are proud to have been one of the founding 14 schools globally to be granted the status of a World Class High Performance Learning School.
