Sixth Form

Welcome to St Lawrence College Sixth Form – two years that will change your life. From your first day in Lower Sixth to your final farewell to school, we will support and challenge you to fulfil your potential.

As a High Performance Learning school, we aim to maximise your academic achievements, whether you are planning on Oxbridge, an apprenticeship or direct entry into the world of work. We will encourage you to be aspirational and future-driven and to have high expectations of yourself and those around you.

In your time with us, you will study a combination of three A Levels as well as the EPQ (more information can be found about subjects here). Our teachers are an incredible team who will offer you support both in and out of the classroom. Many subjects offer clinics or extra drop-in sessions, and you are expected to make the most of the additional time on offer. For those aiming to apply for Medicine, Veterinary Science, Dentistry, Oxbridge or Russell Group universities, there is a competitive courses group that focuses on broadening your critical thinking and embedding the skills needed to complete a successful application.

Your academic journey is also supported by a tutor and a Housemaster/Housemistress who will review teacher feedback with you and help set targets to improve and consolidate your learning. They will also be key in giving you pastoral support, guidance and advice, offering a listening ear and an honest soundboard for your hopes, ideas and plans as well as any problems faced along the way.

An exciting, challenging, fast-paced and stimulating two years lies ahead and we look forward to sharing them with you.
