The award-winning Ramsgate Nursery is based at St Lawrence College and aims to offer an imaginative contemporary take on an old-fashioned idyllic childhood. A modern, calm and focused classroom environment is perfectly balanced with plenty of fresh air, muddy knees, creativity and messy play. Kindness and respect are considered important and, with a freshly-prepared hot lunch available with every session, children will be taught good table manners.
The creative curriculum stretches across all areas of learning, with a strong focus on core language, literacy and mathematical skills, combined with the most exciting elements of Forest School where children learn through discovery and exploration. The curriculum is further enhanced by specialist teaching in subjects including Music, Swimming, PE and French.
With a small class size (maximum of 16 children) our Nursery embraces a wonderful family atmosphere of learning and playing together, all under the watchful eye of experienced Early Years’ Qualified Teacher, Mrs Rebecca Brown. The enriched curriculum offers quality learning experiences designed to give your child the very best possible start to their education.
Our Ramsgate Nursery offers two sessions per day
- Morning session: 08.30-12.30
- Afternoon session: 12.30-3.30
Morning sessions includes lunch;
For parents who require an early drop-off, care is available from 8.00 am at no extra cost;
The late stay session of 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm is free for children who stay all day;
Parents may select as many morning or afternoon sessions as they wish, although we recommend at least two sessions per week works best for young children for continuity.
Our Nursery is situated in the heart of the Pre-Prep Department and is very much a part of the Junior School, with pupils’ benefiting from the School’s outstanding grounds and facilities, including a heated indoor swimming pool.
