GCSE pupils have the right chemistry with top results in sciences

St Lawrence College pupils have again been amassing top GCSE grades, with 32% of all results at the equivalent of A*-A and 64% the equivalent of A*-B. Top performer Olivia gained six 9s, two 8s and two 7s, whilst local pupils Sam, Tom and Honor all gained at least nine GCSEs at grades 7 to 9.

Principal Antony Spencer commented "I'm particularly pleased that this high performance was across the ability range, with the overall pass rate increasing by 2% to 91%, and over two-thirds of all pupils gaining at least one grade 7 or above. Following the recent opening of the fantastic new science facilities in the Canon Perfect Centre, it was pleasing to see science results leading the way, with 67% of Biology, Chemistry and Physics separate science results graded 7-9."
