In a display of grit and skill, the U15 boys’ hockey team showcased their prowess in the U15 ISHC Plate Competition, making it all the way to the finals held in Nottingham on 21st March.

Their journey to the finals was marked by some notable victories and determination. On 19th March, the team traveled to Eton College, where they triumphed in Round 4, securing their spot in the national finals.

Facing off against Reed’s School in the nail-biting final match, both teams displayed outstanding athleticism and determination. The game was a tightly contested battle, with neither side willing to give an inch. In the end, Reed’s School managed to secure a narrow 1-0 victory, leaving St Lawrence College as the runners-up.

Despite the narrow defeat, the boys’ performance was nothing short of exceptional, with their resilience and skill shining through in every match. Seth Simmons, Director of Sport, praised their efforts, acknowledging the tremendous dedication and hard work put in by all involved.

“It was a thrilling journey for our U15 boys’ hockey team,” said Simmons. “Their performance throughout the competition was outstanding, and reaching the finals is a testament to their dedication and talent. Although we narrowly missed the top spot, the team’s spirit and determination were truly commendable.”
