On Tuesday 11th June, our nursery children experienced a day full of imaginative adventures at Dinky Town, an innovative indoor play centre located in Thanet, Kent. The children traveled to the venue by school minibus, and their excitement was palpable as they explored the various themed areas designed to stimulate creative role play.
At Dinky Town, the young visitors had the opportunity to step into the shoes of firefighters, pilots, diner staff, and farmers. Dinky Town, known for its dedication to enhancing the educational experience through imaginative play, caters to children from walking age up to around seven years old. The centre features a variety of themed zones that encourage young children to explore different professions and scenarios, all within a safe and stimulating environment.
Mrs Rebecca Brown, Head of Nursery, commented, “Our trip to Dinky Town was a wonderful experience for the children. It was heartwarming to see them so engaged in imaginative play, which is essential for their development. This visit is one of several trips we organise throughout the year to provide our nursery children with diverse and enriching experiences outside the classroom. We look forward to many more adventures that support their growth and learning.”
