“Year seven have been out on the backfield, practising high-performance learning skills and attributes this morning.
As well as learning fire-lighting, shelter, bridge and tower building, students have practised resilience, perseverance and creativity, gaining confidence in the process.
Listening to each other, changing their approach and trying new ideas has enabled them to solve problems and face challenges.
There has been much laughter along the way and whilst not everyone was successful in every challenge, it has certainly been an enjoyable experience for all.
They will be backing up their learning in the classroom, reflecting on what they have achieved, what they have discovered about themselves and how they can use this information in lessons and beyond.”
