The 2022 Scientific Lawrentian is the first publication of the science magazine at St Lawrence College. It has provided our promising scientists with an opportunity to explore different topics of interest, encourage the development of research skills, and fuel their curiosity.
The Science department were driven to start this annual magazine to showcase some of the outstanding work St Lawrence College pupils produce. This magazine includes work from pupils in years 9, 11, and 13 and the newly created Sixth Form Medical Society, as well as interviews with the newly appointed Science teachers.
Head of Biology, Mrs Cupido commented, “We would like to thank all the pupils who have contributed their time, talents, and research skills in producing their articles as well as the marketing department who designed this exciting magazine. We acknowledge that Science is a team sport and this magazine would not have been possible if it was not for each of our staff and students who have contributed to the ideas, research, and article writing in this publication. They have all played a part in the collaborative process of sharing ideas and producing the final product. This is our first publication; we have learnt much from the experience, we hope to publish the magazine annually and we will endeavour to build on the success in the 2023 Scientific Lawrentian.”
