Electrifying Performances of ‘Grease The Musical’ Wow Audiences

Posted: 23rd March 2022

“The drama and music department were very excited that we were finally able to put on a live show after all this time!

It has felt like an eternity that we have used Taylor Hall as a theatre and had an opportunity to show off the amazing talent of our senior school students. It has been two years since our production of ‘The Great Gatsby’ was cancelled in the performance week and we all went in to lockdown for the first time.

The most wonderful thing about our production of Grease has been the unbelievable hard work, dedication and enthusiasm of everyone involved. The cast, back stage crew and teachers have given up evenings, lunch times and even exeat Fridays to prepare a brilliant show.

Our Dannys and Sandys were pitch perfect and gave such emotive performances, the audience was transfixed. Our T-Birds were hilarious and full of energy. Our pink ladies were mesmerizing and gave life to their iconic roles.

The talent of our cast is something our school should be extremely proud of. Due to Covid, we double-cast many of our main characters and it is amazing that we have enough talent to be able to do this. Both casts were incredibly impressive and as good as each other. Our Dannys and Sandys were pitch perfect and gave such emotive performances, the audience was transfixed.

Our T-Birds were hilarious and full of energy. Our pink ladies were mesmerizing and gave life to their iconic roles. Our back stage crew was reliable and our transitions were seamless. This has been such a group effort from the whole school community and we cannot wait to do it all again next year!” – Amy Ross, Head of Performance Drama
