Domestic Cleaner

We are looking to recruit a reliable and friendly team member to join our busy Domestic Services team.

As part of the Domestic team you will ensure that the appearance and cleanliness of our College buildings and Boarding Houses are kept clean and presentable to the best possible standard.

Our cleaning team play a vital role maintaining the College. The role available could include day to day cleaning across a wide variety of areas including offices, circulation areas, teaching rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. It is essential to be proud of the contribution you make to the positive College environment, and be passionate about delivering excellent results.

Experience is useful but not essential as training is provided

This is a Fixed Term contract that is expected to run from February to end of June 2023, working 20 hours per week.

Hours: 08:00am – 12.00 noon or 09:00am – 01:00pm

Non-term working hours and some Saturday shifts may be available.

College Facilities Administration Assistant (Maternity Cover/Fixed Term Contract)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and capable Administration Assistant on a Full Time (40 hours per week, including working in the school holidays), Fixed Term Contract basis to cover Maternity Leave.

Reporting to the Support Operations Manager, this role is key to providing administration support for the College Facilities Team by ensuring the smooth running of systems and processes.

Key experience and skills sought – Experience of working in a busy office environment; Good knowledge of Office 365; Ability to work with a range of professionals including external and internal partners.

Experience of working in a school environment and use of school data system, would be an advantage.

Hours of work:  Monday – Friday 7.45am – 4.45pm (one hour unpaid lunch break)

This role will commence in April 2023 and is expected to end in February 2024.

Group Activity Leaders - Day Camp

Are you looking for an exciting job with a difference?  We are looking to recruit group activity leaders who are caring, talented and warm individuals that genuinely enjoy working with children of all ages and may be interested in working with children as a career.

We offer a range of sporting activities including swimming, football, tennis, dodgeball and ultimate Frisbee, to name a few.  We also have a state of the art climbing wall and offer specialist courses in drama and dance, cooking, scuba diving and arts and crafts.

Reporting to the Camp Manager, as Group Activity Leader you will be responsible for the welfare and all aspects of caring for an assigned group of children both during and outside of activity times including break and lunch time supervision.  You will need to ensure that an impeccable standard of health and safety is maintained at all times in line with our activity guidelines and risk assessments.

This is a zero hours contract but when on duty, you will be required to work all or part of the Camp Opening hours 7.45 am. – 6.15pm.

Group Activity Leader Job Description

Maintenance Team Supervisor

We are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Team Supervisor to lead and work alongside our Maintenance Team at St Lawrence College.

The ideal candidate will be able to manage the team to work independently to a high standard, taking pride in the quality of their work. Experience in plumbing, fault-finding and general maintenance skills are essential.

This position will support the Support Operations Manager by leading the Maintenance Team to ensure College buildings are kept in good repair.

Working hours;

Full time 40 hours per week / 52 weeks per year

Saturday 08:00 – 13:00 (7 per year)

The requirements of this role will necessitate occasional evening and weekend work.

St Lawrence College is a leading HMC boarding and day school located in the seaside town of Ramsgate. Founded in 1879, it educates 600 pupils aged 3-18, with almost half of its Senior School pupils being full boarders. It is a High Performance Learning ‘World Class School’ and was recently voted as one of the top 100 sports schools in the country. It has a strong emphasis on the pastoral wellbeing of its pupils and was graded ‘Excellent’ in its ISI Inspection in May.

The College is seeking to appoint a dynamic, outward-facing and experienced Head of Marketing and Development, to further enhance the global and local influence of the College and strengthen the relationships amongst the Old Lawrentian network.

The successful applicant will be a strategic thinker, with an excellent understanding of marketing and communications and an ability to build strong relationships quickly. They will be enthusiastic, proactive and creative, with a proven track record of leadership and the ability to work collaboratively for the good of the College.

This is a full-time 37.5 hour per week / 52 weeks per year role, therefore a flexible attitude to working hours is necessary, as the post holder will be required to work additional hours, in the evenings or at the weekend, depending on the needs of the College.
