Chef De Partie

We are looking to recruit a dedicated and passionate Chef De Partie to work alongside our kitchen team, delivering a first class service to the staff, students and visitors to the College. The ideal candidate will used to working in a fast-paced busy kitchen as part of a well-established team and hold a full driving licence.

Preparing, cooking and presenting great food, therefore a pride in what you do is essential. You will uphold great cleanliness standards and be a great team player.

The CDP will be expected to demonstrate an excellent understanding of kitchen management and organisation, demonstrate a working knowledge of food Safety and Health and Safety compliance.

You will need to be able to learn on your feet and need to be versatile, because it is important to gain experience in all sections of the kitchen

What are we looking for?

  • Be expected to work on all sections of the kitchen
  • Have a great attitude and willingness to learn new skills
  • Ensure your section is running to the correct standard
  • Be responsible for the training and motivation of junior members of the team
  • Have solid experience of working in a busy kitchen

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Team player and able to support colleagues at all times and assist where required

Working hours:

40 hours per week, 5 over 7 days, 52 weeks a year

Core hours will be issued but some flexibility will be required for functions

Health and Safety Co-ordinator

We are looking to recruit an effective and efficient person to coordinate health & safety and compliance in an educational environment.

Working within the Facilities Department, the role will include responsibility for providing advice and practical support to staff, interpreting current legislation to ensure standards are achieved and maintained, providing assurance that Health and Safety and all compliance is in accordance with relevant Statutory and ISI guidelines.

The ideal candidate will be experienced, have a high attention to detail, is passionate about Health and Safety that is able to build an engaging, safe environment for all stakeholders.

NEBOSH or IOSH Certificate in Safety and Health for Business Level 3 Certificate is desirable.

Working hours;

37.5 hours a week, Mon- Fri

08.30 – 17.00 (1 hour unpaid lunch break)

Coffee Shop Assistant / Barista

We are looking to recruit a Coffee Shop Assistant / Barista with the ability to create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for all our customers.

The successful candidate will prepare fresh food and drinks within our busy Coffee Shop providing a high standard of service and customer care, promoting a friendly and polite atmosphere at all times.

Previous skills, qualifications or experience in a catering environment or a similar role would be advantageous.

 

Working hours (Term-time only – 34 weeks per year)

 Monday to Friday 30 hours per week –

working on a shift rota between the hours of 8.00am – 10.00pm

The role will also include working a 7 hour shift during the day on Saturday (one out of two)

Minibus Driver

Minibus Driver
(zero-hours contract, term time)

 We are looking to appoint a driver to work on a zero hours, term time only basis driving pupils to and from school via the designated school routes.  In addition to driving duties, you will be required to ensure that the minibuses are maintained in clean and good condition which may involve some basic maintenance work.   You will be required to attend a number of training courses prior to the start date.

Working alongside the kitchen team delivering a first class service to the staff, students and visitors to the College. Domestic Cleaner /Laundry Assistant

(Part-time –52 weeks per year)

We are looking to recruit new team members to join our busy Domestic Services team on a part-time permanent basis covering cleaning / laundry duties for the school and boarding houses. Although mornings only there may be some flexibility in start/finish times.

There are two shift patterns available:

25 Hours per week:

Monday: 7.30am – 12.30pm

Tuesday – Friday: 08:00am – 01:00pm

20 Hours per week:

Monday – Friday: 05:00am – 09:00am

Some additional hours at weekends as required

Maintenance Team

We are looking to recruit an experienced and reliable General Maintenance Team Member to join our Facilities Team.

This a permanent position and duties will include; targeting leaks to showers and bathrooms, repairing any associated water damage, repairs to doors and furniture and general maintenance type duties.

To be successful in this role you will be able to work independently to a high standard, taking pride in the quality of work is essential. Experience in fault finding, general plumbing, carpentry and decorating skills are essential as well as working safely and methodically.

This position will support the Facilities Co-ordinator in completion of other tasks as directed to support operations of the department and ensure College buildings are kept in good repair.

NVQ Level 2 in Building Maintenance preferred or evidence of relevant experience.

Working hours;

Full time 37.5 hours

Mon-Fri 08:00 – 16:00

Saturday 08:00 – 13:00 (7 per year)

The requirements of this role will necessitate occasional evening and weekend work as well as providing cover for the Caretaker role as necessary.
