Recently the College, voted in and welcomed our New President of the Old Lawrentian Society, Raphael de Souza. A proud Old Lawrentian, Raphael graduated from the school in 1996 and has been an active member of the alumni community ever since.
With over 20 years of experience in the Ad Tech/Mar Tech space and digital transformation, Raphael de Souza has been exposed to a wealth and breadth of technological advancements that have transformed the industry.
Raphael currently works with a global Leading Software company specialising in AI powered Decisioning and Workflow Automation via a Low Code Platform.
In addition to his professional achievements, Raphael is a passionate advocate for community involvement and philanthropy.
He co-owns a boutique hotel in West Africa’s Togo, along with a guest house and events venue, and also runs a car rental business in the region. With an unwavering ambition to expand his portfolio, he consistently seeks new opportunities. Raphael is also an emerging real estate investor in West Africa and his investments in the region have helped create jobs and build local economies which continues to be a key driver in his efforts.
He has also hosted various investment forums for Francophone African governments, which have helped to promote economic development and business opportunities in the region. Beyond his business activities, Raphael has a wide range of interests and hobbies, including oil painting, cooking, traveling, and photography. His diverse background and experiences have helped him connect with people from all walks of life.
As President of the St Lawrence College Alumni Association, Raphael is committed to fostering an even stronger sense of community among alumni. He understands the importance of creating meaningful engagement opportunities for alumni to connect with each other and the school, and is eager to facilitate these connections with a wonderful team that include our Board Members and Global ambassadors.
Raphael believes that a strong and loyal community is key to the success of any institution, and he is dedicated to ensuring that St Lawrence College remains a source of pride for all its alumni.
