Gold in the ‘South & South East in Bloom’ Awards 2021

Posted: 24th September 2021

Following our entry into the South & South East in Bloom Awards earlier this year, we are delighted to say that we achieved the GOLD Award last week at the awards ceremony.

St Lawrence College were entered into the ‘Business & Landscape Management’ category which saw the judges looking at how the land management at St Lawrence College works and services the business needs.

During the inspection back in May 2021, judges arrived at the School, grading everything from boundaries, shrub selection & health, lawns, pitches, trees, environmental impact & ecology, infrastructure, benches/site furniture, kerb appeal, litter/general housekeeping and much, much more.

Head of Grounds, Dan McGrath said ‘This category was chosen as it gave an overall grade on the entire site. It is such a valuable exercise to have seasoned industry professionals come and judge the school site.

Thank you to St Lawrence College for your support in entering this scheme and we hope to continue annually to enter such award schemes, so that we continue to better ourselves and maximise the pupils’ experience while on site and for future generations. My sincere thanks to all the individuals who have played a part in achieving this accolade.’

The grounds at St Lawrence College are held in very high esteem by all visitors. You can see a small image gallery below to view some of the various sites around the school. If you wish to arrange a visit to the school with your child to see the school and grounds for yourself, we would be delighted to welcome you.
