Agent Newsletter – September 2024

Dear Colleagues,

As we step into another exciting academic year, we are thrilled to share the latest developments and success from St Lawrence College. I would like to start by saying  many congratulations to all our pupils who sat their exams last year.  As you will have heard in the news, this year’s grade boundaries have returned to normal, and so it has been even harder to gain high grades.  Our Sixth Form leavers did fantastically well and gained the highest grades that we have ever had at the school – with over 56% of all A levels being graded A*-B.  Most of our pupils were also accepted into their first choice of university and are preparing for the next stage of their educational journey.

We have also seen outstanding achievements in GCSE results with a 98% pass rate, which reflects their hard work and dedication of all of our pupils and teachers.  A number of our pupils have achieved outstanding results during their GCSE courses. Among the many highlights, in which 70% or more pupils achieved grades 9-6 in Art, Chemistry, Chinese, Drama and German, special mention goes to Charlotte and Seejan, who achieved ten grade 9s, and Rupert who achieved five grade 9s and four grade 8s.

Arrivals Day

We celebrated new arrivals at St Lawrence this week. I personally find this event my favourite time of the year and it was wonderful to meet and welcome so many of your families.

Open Days

As we approach our upcoming Open Events at St Lawrence College, we are eager to welcome prospective families to experience our vibrant school community firsthand. Our first event is our Open Week from the 16th-20th September,  where visitors can explore our exceptional facilities, meet our dedicated staff, and discover the wide range of opportunities available to our students.

New Admissions Portal
We are excited to launch our new Admissions Portal which has been designed to simplify the application process for prospective families.  Families can use our new online Admissions Portal to submit their formal application, alongside their registration fee, to St Lawrence College.
Alternatively, agents can use our Registration Pack that contains a PDF version of the Registration Form.
