St Lawrence College Celebrates Exceptional A Level Achievements

Posted: 14th August 2025

St Lawrence College is proud to announce another year of excellent A Level results, reflecting the commitment, ambition, and talent of our Sixth Form students.

This year’s highlights include 100% A*– C grades in Physics and Religious Studies, alongside 100% A*– B in Art & Design and Media Studies. Across all subjects, three-quarters of grades were at A*– C, with one in four achieving the top A*–A grades.

This year’s leavers will progress to a wide range of the UK’s top universities, pursuing prestigious subjects that enable them to fulfil their long-held ambitions and open doors to exciting futures. Among their destinations are some of the country’s most respected Russell Group institutions, including:

  • Bartlett School of Architecture (Ranked 1st in the World for Architecture) – Engineering and Architectural Design

  • UCL (Ranked 7th in the UK) – Global Humanitarian Studies, Chemical Engineering, Politics & International Relations

  • Warwick (Ranked 9th in the UK) – Liberal Arts, Accounting & Finance

  • Bristol (Ranked 11th in the UK) – Aerospace Engineering

  • Edinburgh (Ranked 17th in the UK) – Japanese

  • Liverpool (Ranked 23rd in the UK) – Biomedical Science

  • Cardiff (Ranked 32nd in the UK) – History

In addition, 30% of our students have secured places at top 10 UK universities outside the Russell Group, such as:

  • Bath (Ranked 8 in the UK) – Accounting & Management
  • Loughborough (Ranked 10 in the UK) – Geography & Sport Science, Accounting & Finance

Among the many outstanding personal achievements this year are Daniele (AAAA), Nigelle (A*AAB), Dara (A*AA), Biplove (A*AB), and Tobi (AAA).

A special mention also goes to Sarah Jane, who has secured a coveted place at Italia Conti, one of the most prestigious and highly competitive performing arts institutions in the world. With an acceptance rate that reflects its elite reputation, gaining entry further affirms Sarah Jane’s exceptional talent, dedication, and creative passion. This achievement not only highlights her personal commitment but also reflects the College’s support for nurturing individual ambition beyond traditional academic pathways.

Head of College, Matthew Brown, said:

“We are immensely proud of every one of our Year 13 students. It has been our privilege to support them towards achieving their grades and ambitions. These successes are testament to each individual’s hard work as well as the expertise and commitment of our St Lawrence College staff.

As our senior pupils graduate to become ‘Old Lawrentians’ (OLs) we look forward to hearing of their future achievements and how they will inspire generations of Lawrentians for years to come.”

Beyond the classroom, the Class of 2025 has contributed richly to the life of St Lawrence College through sport, music, drama, and leadership. They will certainly leave a legacy of ambition, creativity, and community spirit.
