U16 Girls March on to Hockey Final

In a spectacular display of skill and determination, the St Lawrence College U16 Girls Hockey Team has stormed through the past five rounds of the championship, netting an impressive 36 goals to guarantee their spot in the much-anticipated final of the Girls U16 Tier 2 Championship Final. The young athletes have captivated the school with their some great performance, showcasing not only their individual talents but also the remarkable teamwork that has propelled them through the tournament.

The St Lawrence College team, coached by Thomas Degiovanni, Head of Hockey and Director of Elite Performance, has displayed a great combination of attack and defence by scoring 36 goals and only conceding 3 throughout the competition. The girls have had many stand out performances including some very high scoring games, notably 11-1 in Round 1 against Lingfield College and a battle with the elements in their Semi Final clash against the King’s School Chester where they won 5-1.

As the championship journey reaches its pinnacle, the St Lawrence College U16 Girls Hockey Team is set to face Redmaids’ High School in the final showdown on 5th March. The championship clash promises to be a battle of titans, with both teams eyeing the coveted trophy.

Everyone at St Lawrence College is eagerly anticipating the final of the competition and are very proud of the achievements of our girls. We wish them the best of luck in the final at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on the 5th March.

Redmaids’ High School journey to the final

Redmaids’ High School, in Bristol, have had their own impressive journey to the final. Scoring 23 and conceding 5 goals with an impressive 11-0 win against St Mary’s School Calne in Round 2. We wish them a safe trip down to London on 5th March.
