Spectacular Summer Soirée

Posted: 20th May 2022

Last Friday evening the school chapel was full to the rafters for a wonderful celebration of music.

The bright summer evening was worlds away from the cold, dark evenings of just a few short months ago and spirits were high. The music and songs performed were varied, with everything from the theme from Schindler’s List through to The Muppet Show Theme. There really was something for everyone. All of the pupils did themselves and the school proud. You can see the full programme of music from the evening below.

The Chapel’s generous acoustics enhanced many of the performances and there was a large and attentive audience comprising of parents, friends and fellow pupils.

Jeremy Bowyer, Director of Music remarked on the event: “The Summer Soirée was a wonderful celebration of music from Purcell to Coldplay and marked the culmination of a great deal of hard work during weekly rehearsals. The Chapel’s generous acoustics enhanced many of the performances and there was a large and attentive audience comprising of parents, friends and fellow pupils.
