Pupils at St Lawrence College are celebrating some excellent A Level results today.

Top grades went to Hugo (A*A*A*) who will read Classics at Durham, Catherine (A*A*A*A) who will read Chemical Engineering at Imperial or St Andrews, Zofia (A*A*A A) reading Mechanical Engineering at UCL, Amelia (A*A*A A) reading International Management at Bath and Robyn (A*A A) who travels to Princeton (USA) on a scholarship.

Head of College, Barney Durrant, commented, “We are delighted with the results and that the vast majority of our pupils will, consequently, be attending their first choice university. There is no doubt that the lack of examinations has caused some anxiety amongst our pupils and it was disappointing that they could not spend their final term at school in the normal way. However, we are immensely proud of the resilience they showed in both continuing with their education and university preparation, and also contributing to the wider community during the Summer Term. The fact that they did not sit their examinations should also not overshadow the enormous effort that they have put into their A Level studies over the last two years. We wish all of our Sixth Form Leavers the very best of luck for the future.”

The school was pleased to be able to open the doors of the sports hall yesterday (13th August 2020), creating a large space following social distancing protocols, where pupils and parents could come in to collect their results and to celebrate with friends and classmates.
