Today is National Time to Talk Day, supported by the charity Mind. This day is all about creating and nurturing supportive communities by having conversations with family, friends, or colleagues. We all have mental health. By talking about it, we can support ourselves and others and remove the stigma surrounding it.

As a school, our focus is on the importance of positive everyday interactions and however small these are, they may help someone. We have spoken to pupils and staff across the school to talk to them a bit about what Time to Talk Day means to them, their understanding of mental health and the support systems available around them. Below are some videos and quotes collated from our school community to spread awareness this Time to Talk Day.

However you do it, have a conversation about mental health and wellbeing this Time to Talk Day.

Talking about mental health is powerful. It’s honest. It can change lives.

For resources on how to get involved and spread the message, please visit the Time to Talk Day website.
