Boarders Tackle Prison Island

Posted: 31st January 2025

During the recent optional Exeat weekend, St Lawrence College boarders embarked on an action-packed adventure to Prison Island in Maidstone – a thrilling venue featuring escape-room-style challenges and mini golf.

What is Prison Island?

Prison Island Maidstone offers 23 themed escape rooms, each designed to test problem-solving, teamwork, and physical agility – similar to the Crystal Maze. Our students worked together in teams, tackling a variety of mental and physical challenges to score points and build their collaborative skills.

Alongside the escape room challenges, students also enjoyed a round of mini golf, adding a fun and competitive twist to the days activities.

Weekend Activities at St Lawrence College

This trip is just one of many exciting weekend activities for boarders at St Lawrence College. While some students prefer to return home during optional Exeat weekends, many choose to participate in school-organized excursions. Previous trips have included:

✅ Paintballing at Quex Park

✅ A visit to the London Dungeons

✅ Thorpe Park thrills

Our optional Exeat policy gives boarders the flexibility to travel home or take part in enriching and adventurous experiences with their peers.

A Well-Rounded Boarding Experience

At St Lawrence College, we are committed to providing a dynamic and fulfilling boarding experience that promotes personal growth, friendship, and unforgettable memories. Whether through team-building activities like Prison Island, cultural trips, or outdoor adventures, our students always have something to look forward to.
