St Lawrence College has been recognized as one of the UK’s leading cricketing schools in The Cricketer’s Schools Guide 2025. This prestigious accolade places the Kent-based college among the top 100 senior schools celebrated for their exceptional commitment to cricket.

The annual Schools Guide, now in its 10th edition, is regarded as the definitive list of the nation’s best cricketing institutions. Schools are selected based on a rigorous set of criteria, including facilities, coaching, fixture programs, and how cricket is integrated into school life.

St Lawrence College’s cricket program has long been a cornerstone of its sports offering. With year-round training opportunities, competitive fixtures for boys and girls, and top-tier facilities—including grass and artificial wickets and indoor nets—the college provides an environment where students can thrive. Expert coaching, supplemented by visits from guest mentors, ensures players develop not only their skills but also values like teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship.

Director of Sport, Seth Simmons expressed pride in the achievement, stating:

It is clear that we have a very strong cricket programme at St Lawrence College and this is justifiable National recognition. This achievement is testament to the hard work of the sports department, the dedication and encouragement of parents, and lastly, the effort and skill of every one of our talented St Lawrence College cricketers. I am delighted that our cricket programme is renowned to allow all pupils to flourish.

Head of Cricket, Geraint Jones added:

As Head of Cricket I am very proud of continuing to be recognised as one of the top 100 cricket schools in the UK. This is our fifth consecutive year of gaining this recognition and we are very proud of our inclusion. Here at St Lawrence College we are fortunate to have fantastic facilities, dedicated coaches and passionate pupils, all of which allow us to have success both on and off the sports field. Wherever pupils are on their journey, we will progress them to the next stage of development.
