Graham Carter spent a few years surveying and in advanced planning in Zambia. He returned to the UK in 1974 to join a national firm of Chartered Surveyors. In 2001 he became self-employed, working on a variety of projects, and became involved with SLC in 2005 in planning, designing and project managing the construction of the Sports Hall, Taylor Hall, Bellerby conversion and the first phase of sports facilities at Newlands. Graham is an Honorary Life Member of the Polo Farm Sports Club in Canterbury incorporating hockey, cricket, tennis and croquet, and has also been an active participant in Motor Cycle trials, Motocross, Cricket; Football and Hockey.
