Charlotte Mara-Patterson

Level 2 Coach & C Umpire

Charlotte has over 20 years playing and coaching experience including playing for the prestigious Crystal Palace Netball Club.

With over 15 years teaching/coaching experience including Head of Netball at a number of different schools, Charlotte is passionate, motivated and dedicated to play a role in youth netball development.

As a previous Head of Netball, Charlotte established and developed successful coaching programs within schools. These included coaching pathway, mentoring, ‘one to one’ skills workshops and S&C training programs for players. As a result, many girls were selected for Kent, Surrey, Crystal Palace, Aces, Surrey Storm and London Pulse. Teams competed in Borough Tournaments, Surrey League, Kent League and National Schools Competitions. Charlotte also ran a number of successful school netball tours to Barbados, Barcelona and Malta.

Due to the growth and success of netball in Surrey, she was invited by the Borough of Kingston to manage and coach their netball team and be their representative at the London Youth Games. As a result, Kingston finished in the top 10 on a number of occasions.

Charlotte has also coached at a number of clubs both in Kent and London. Most recently she was an assistant coach at Aces, assisting in coaching, training sessions, S&C and player development.

Aces is an elite performance Netball club set up by Co-Head Coach Sharon Lewis-Burke (Head Coach of the England Men’s and mixed Netball, Head Coach U19 London Pulse, Head coach of Crystal Palace) and Rowena Scott-Fairclough (London Pulse Pathway Performance Manager and the Head of Performance of the England Men’s and Mixed Netball Association).

Aces Netball is an elite club covering Essex, London & Surrey. The training programme works in line with the requirements of England Netball, providing athletes with the support and skill set they need to progress to the next level of their netball career. Many of the girls have gone onto play for NSL clubs including London Pulse, Surrey Storm and also England Roses.
