Meet our Coaches

With a standout hockey career spanning Europe’s top competitions, Tom Degiovanni brings passion, precision, and international experience to every coaching session.

Originally from Malta, Tom began playing with Qormi Hockey Club, representing them in multiple European Club Championships. He made his international debut for the Maltese National Team at just 17, and this summer he’ll return to the pitch in European Competition in Turkey.

Now based in the UK, Tom captains Canterbury Hockey Club’s First Team, having led them into the Indoor Premier League and pushing for the same in outdoor hockey.

But it’s not just his playing pedigree that makes Tom extraordinary — it’s his coaching impact. Tom has:

  • 🏆 Led U16 Boys to a National Championship (2025)

  • 🏑 Developed players across U10–U16 in both boys’ and girls’ teams

  • 🥈 Coached U16 Girls to runners-up in the EH Tier 2 Cup (2024)

  • 🥈 Guided U15 Boys to ISHC Plate finals in the same year

  • 🌍 Currently the  Maltese National Team Captain and also part of the coaching structure at senior level

Tom brings an infectious energy and deep tactical insight to every session — and your child will benefit directly from this elite-level, international coaching experience.
