Free Sign, Sign & Play Group in Ramsgate
A free weekly session for babies and preschoolers with songs, movement, sensory play and gentle Makaton signing. Led by our enthusiastic Early Years team at St Lawrence College, children sing and play alongside our friendly farmyard characters, Giggles the Goose and Dot the Duck, while parents enjoy a welcoming space to meet others.
What to Expect
Each session blends music, movement and sensory play with an introduction to Makaton, a signing system that supports speech and language development. The sessions are led by Miss Radford, Early Years Teaching Assistant, in our nurturing nursery setting.
When and Where
Sing, Sign & Play runs during term time on Fridays, 14:00–15:00 at St Lawrence College Junior School, College Road, Ramsgate CT11 7AE. Please check dates and availability with us before attending.
Who can Join
The group is open to local families with preschool children who want a friendly and structured stay and play. You do not need to be applying to St Lawrence College to join. Everyone is welcome and free refreshments are provided for parents and carers.
Thinking About Nursery
Many families who attend Sing, Sign & Play later choose St Lawrence College Nursery. The group is a lovely introduction to our Early Years provision. If you are considering a place, we can arrange a tour or share details about fees and funding, including the 15 hours of KCC funded childcare we accept.
