On Sunday afternoon, in glorious September sunshine, we took a small group of boarders from Kirby House to the seaside town of Deal. We walked along the seafront and the beach, visiting the lifeboat station and stopping to look at the castle and the time ball tower – even witnessing the ball drop at 3pm. We walked along the pier, where this photograph was taken, and of course had the obligatory seaside ice-cream. The group also learnt a little bit about Henry VIII and Julius Caesar.
Last week all the boarders visited Westwood Cross, with many partaking in McDonald's! Further afternoons out are planned for each weekend this term.
