John 8:12 “Jesus said, ‘I am the light of the world, whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life’.”
Lighthouse Club provides Junior School pupils in Years 2 to 6 with the opportunity to explore the Christian faith for themselves. Our aim is to help the children grow in their understanding of who God is and what He has done for us, whilst having fun together. Our prayer is that each child will grow in confidence to shine like lights for Him. Pupils can choose whether they wish to attend Lighthouse each Friday lunchtime. The meeting can range in size anywhere between 10-30 children.
Each week we focus on learning from God’s Word, the Bible. A song (often with actions) and activity (craft, drama or word search) help reinforce the message for that day. We always close with a prayer. Sometimes a session might be a special one, for example when someone from our school community might come and share with us about their own Christian life.
