Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.

Lighthouse Club provides Junior School pupils in Years 2 to 6 with the opportunity to explore the Christian faith for themselves.

Our aim is to:
  • provide a loving, supportive, fun and safe environment for children in which they can grow in their understanding of who God is and what He has done for us through Jesus;
  • to give all the children an opportunity to grow in confidence to shine lights for Him, as they use their God given gifts and abilities;
  • Based on Jesus' teaching to help nurture children to be aware of others and develop servant hearts.

Pupils can choose whether they wish to attend Lighthouse each Friday lunchtime. The meeting can range in size anywhere between 10-30 children.

Each week we focus on learning from God’s Word, the Bible. A song (often with actions) and activity (craft, drama or word search) help reinforce the message for that day. We always close with a prayer. Sometimes a session might be a special one, for example when someone from our school community might come and share with us about their own Christian life.
