Chef De Partie

We are looking to recruit a dedicated and passionate Chef De Partie to work alongside the kitchen team, delivering a first class service to the staff, students and visitors to the College. The ideal candidate will used to working in a fast-paced busy kitchen as part of a well-established team.

Preparing, cooking and presenting great food, therefore a pride in what you do is essential. You will uphold great cleanliness standards and be a great team player.

The CDP will be expected to demonstrate an excellent understanding of kitchen management and organisation, demonstrate a working knowledge of food Safety and Health and Safety compliance.

You will need to be able to learn on your feet and need to be versatile, because it is important to gain experience in all sections of the kitchen

What are we looking for?

  • Be responsible for the training and motivation of junior members of the team

Working hours;

40 hours per week, 5 over 7 days, 52 weeks a year

Core hours will be issued but some flexibility will be required for functions

Commis Chef

We are looking to recruit a Commis Chef, with a genuine ambition to learn and advance skills with an aim to having a great career in hospitality.

Working alongside the kitchen team delivering a first class service to the staff, students and visitors to the College. The Commis chef will ensure the quality of dishes being prepared are consistent and meet the standards of the Executive Chef. They will have a passion for food, be a team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude

You will get the chance to work with a huge variety of ingredients, prepared using lots of techniques.

What are we looking for?

  • Basic cooking skills with the desire to learn new culinary skills.

Catering Administration Manager

We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified person to deliver a first class service to the staff, students and visitors to the College.

Working with the Executive Chef, the Catering Administration Manager should manage the day to day rostering of the food service team whilst ensuring that a friendly, interactive, knowledgeable service is delivered by all team members.

Delivering a Front of House service for both core services and hospitality and the managing of COSHH records and training for the department are crucial to the role.

A minimum two year proven track record managing a catering operation and or events, and an Advanced food hygiene awareness are essential

An understanding of budget management and COSHH regulations are desirable

Working hours;

5 over 7 days

Science Technician

We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified person to provide a supportive role to the staff, working mainly within our Chemistry Department, but an ability to support the other sciences is desirable.

The Technician should play an active role in creating a working environment that is safe, well organised, and easy to work in.

The checking and general maintenance of equipment, assisting with the dispatching of orders, checking the deliveries and the monitoring of stock levels are all necessary for the preparation of materials and the setting up of equipment for lessons.


Working hours;

Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00 (with 1 hour unpaid for lunch)

Saturday Working – every third Saturday must be worked (on a rota basis) for which time off in lieu will be given during term time with the agreement of the Head of Department.

Holiday Working – you will be expected to work a set number of days before the start of terms and at the end of terms.

Domestic Cleaner/ Laundry Assistant

We are looking to recruit x2 new team members to join our busy Domestic Services team.

As part of the Domestic team you will ensure that the appearance and cleanliness of our College buildings and Boarding Houses are kept clean and presentable to the best possible standard.

To assist other staff in the Laundry as directed by the Domestic Supervisor when required.

20 hours per week

Shifts are between the hours of 05:30pm and 09:30pm

Non-term working hours may differ according to the needs of the College.

We are looking to recruit new team members to join our busy Domestic Services team on a Zero hour basis. Covering Cleaning/Laundry for the school and boarding houses, ensuring that all College areas are kept clean and presented to the highest possible standard

Although mornings only, there may be some flexibility in start/finish times.

Gap Tutor 2019 or 2020

We are looking to recruit Gap tutors for placements commencing March 2019 or January 2020

The role is to support the children, assist the duty staff in appropriate ways and wherever possible, to bring your strengths and interests to the fore, to the benefit of the community as a whole.

Gap Tutors will be joining the School for one year and are expected to involve themselves fully in all areas of school life, both during the day in school/classroom situations, and in the evenings in the boarding house.

You will be regarded as a member of staff and so professional standards are expected at all times.
