Sports Centre Supervisor

We are looking to recruit a new member of staff to work with our Commercial Team to supervise our Sports Centre and Fitness Suite.

The role includes overseeing the day to day running and to be a friendly and helpful first point of contact.

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Sports Centre, ensuring that all Health & Safety legislation, operational procedures and ‘best practice’ is followed.

Working Hours:

Up to 8 hours (During term time only)

Every Saturday 19.00 – 21.30

Alternate Sunday's 14.00 – 17.00 and 19.00 – 21.30

Possible additional hours cover, as and when required by Commercial Manager.

Sports Coach (Junior School)

We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Sports Coach to help run coaching sessions.

The ideal candidate will have a qualification in coaching at least two of the following sports: football, rugby, hockey, netball or cricket and the ability to communicate effectively with children.

Previous skills, qualifications or experience in a similar role would be advantageous.

Thursday 13:20 – 14:20

Catering Assistant

We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team.

The role will include helping in the preparation and presentation of food, serving hot and cold meals and making sure the dining and service areas are clean and tidy at all times

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work as part of a team

Previous skills, qualifications or experience in a catering environment or a similar role would be advantageous

Working hours;

Part time 16 hours, 5 out of 7 days

44 weeks a year

Maintenance Team Member

We are looking to recruit an experienced and reliable General Maintenance Team Member to join the Facilities team.

The role will include reactive and planned daily maintenance duties, buildings security and supporting other departments as required across the College. The ideal applicant would have knowledge of trades and experience of working in a similar environment.

The role will support the Facilities Co-ordinator in the wide variety of maintenance requirements with every member of the team expected to turn their hand to any maintenance, Caretaking or compliancy tasks required or as directed.

A general knowledge of building trades is required and able to work to a high standard and take pride in the quality of work is essential.

NVQ Level 2 in Building Maintenance preferred or evidence of relevant experience.

Previous skills, qualifications or experience in plumbing or electrical would be advantageous

Working hours;

Full time 37.5 hours

Mon-Fri 08:00 - 17:00

The requirements of this role will necessitate occasional evening and weekend work as well as providing cover for the Caretaker role as necessary

Commis Chef

We are looking to recruit a Commis Chef, with a genuine ambition to learn and advance skills with an aim to having a great career in hospitality.

Working alongside the kitchen team delivering a first class service to the staff, students and visitors to the College. The Commis chef will ensure the quality of dishes being prepared are consistent and meet the standards of the Executive Chef. They will have a passion for food, be a team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude

You will get the chance to work with a huge variety of ingredients, prepared using lots of techniques.

What are we looking for?

  • Basic cooking skills with the desire to learn new culinary skills.
  • Passion, enthusiasm and creativity in the kitchen.
  • The ability to adhere to food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
  • The ability to maintain accurate kitchen logs and records.
  • Someone that can work under pressure in a fast paced and busy kitchen.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Team player and able to support colleagues at all times and assist were required

Working hours;

20 or 32 hours per week, 5 over 7 days, 52 weeks a year

Core hours will be issued but some flexibility will be required for functions

Domestic Cleaner/ Laundry Assistant

We are looking to recruit reliable and friendly team members to join our busy Domestic Services team.

As part of the Domestic team you will ensure that the appearance and cleanliness of our College buildings and Boarding Houses are kept clean and presentable to the best possible standard.

Our cleaning team play a vital role maintaining the College. The roles available all include day to day cleaning across a wide variety of areas including offices, circulation areas, teaching rooms, bathrooms, etc. It is essential to be proud of the contribution you make to the positive College environment, and be passionate about delivering excellent results.

The successful candidate may also assist other staff in the Laundry as directed by the Domestic Supervisor when required.

Experience is useful but not essential as training is provided

20 hours per week

Hours: 17:30 - 21:30

Gap Tutor 2020 or 2021

We are looking to recruit Gap tutors for placements commencing January 2020 and January 2021

The role is to support the children, assist the duty staff in appropriate ways and wherever possible, to bring your strengths and interests to the fore, to the benefit of the community as a whole.

Gap Tutors will be joining the School for one year and are expected to involve themselves fully in all areas of school life, both during the day in school/classroom situations, and in the evenings in the boarding house.
