Science Technician

We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified person to provide a supportive role to the staff, working mainly within our Chemistry Department, but an ability to support the other sciences is desirable.

The Technician should play an active role in creating a working environment that is safe, well organised, and easy to work in.

The checking and general maintenance of equipment, assisting with the dispatching of orders, checking the deliveries and the monitoring of stock levels are all necessary for the preparation of materials and the setting up of equipment for lessons.


Working hours;

Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00 (with 1 hour unpaid for lunch)

Saturday Working – every third Saturday must be worked (on a rota basis) for which time off in lieu will be given during term time with the agreement of the Head of Department.

Holiday Working – you will be expected to work a set number of days before the start of terms and at the end of terms.

Sports Centre Supervisor

We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified person to supervise and maintain the Sports Centre and Fitness Suite.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager the role will also have ‘dotted line’ responsibility to the Facilities Manager in terms of Building Maintenance and Health & Safety; and the Director of Sport in terms of pupil activities.

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Sports Centre ensuring that all Health & Safety legislation, operational procedures and ‘best practice’ is followed.

For the majority of these times, teaching or coaching staff will be responsible for pupils; however, during Activity Sessions, the Sports Centre Supervisor will be responsible for organising the sessions for attending pupils.

Working Hours:

Term-time only (34 weeks):

22.5 hours per week;

Monday to Friday - 17:00 – 21:30

8 hours every alternate week;

Saturday 19.00 – 21.30

Sunday14.00 – 17.00 and 19.00 – 21.30

Non-Term-time:

Marketing and Communications Manager

We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified and talented Marketing and Communications Manager to join the school.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has proven experience of working within marketing and communications, to work with key colleagues to lead on innovative, efficient and effective marketing strategies and to publicise and promote the ethos and successes of the College.

You will design and implement a Marketing and Communications Strategy that engages parents, inspires students, and attracts teachers to come and be part of the College’s future.

Prospective candidates should be willing to be involved with the wider life of a busy boarding and day school.

Working Hours:

Full-time (52 weeks) 37.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday 08.30 to 17.00

A flexible attitude to working hours is necessary, however, as the post holder will be required to work additional hours, in the evenings or at the weekend, when the pressure of work necessitates it and for events such as open mornings or music, art and drama performances.

Catering Assistant/Kitchen Porter

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated general assistant to join our Catering Team, ensuring that customers are able to enjoy the food which is prepared to the highest standard in a pleasant, clean and safe environment.

A flexible approach is essential to the role and you should enjoy working as part of a busy team and be keen to develop your skills.

The successful applicant will ensure food service, both in the dining hall and at College functions as well as washing up and cleaning tasks.

A basic knowledge of food hygiene is advantageous

Hours: 30 hours per week or 20 hours per week, (Fixed Term until End of June)

5 over 7 days

Owing to the nature of the role there may be the occasional need to work additional hours as required.

Domestic Cleaner/ Laundry Assistant

We are looking to recruit x2 new team members to join our busy Domestic Services team.

As part of the Domestic team you will ensure that the appearance and cleanliness of our College buildings and Boarding Houses are kept clean and presentable to the best possible standard.

To assist other staff in the Laundry as directed by the Domestic Supervisor when required.

20 hours per week

Shifts are between the hours of 05:30pm and 09:30pm

Non-term working hours may differ according to the needs of the College.

We are looking to recruit new team members to join our busy Domestic Services team on a Zero hour basis. Covering Cleaning/Laundry for the school and boarding houses, ensuring that all College areas are kept clean and presented to the highest possible standard

Gap Tutor 2019 or 2020

We are looking to recruit Gap tutors for placements commencing March 2019 or January 2020

The role is to support the children, assist the duty staff in appropriate ways and wherever possible, to bring your strengths and interests to the fore, to the benefit of the community as a whole.

Gap Tutors will be joining the School for one year and are expected to involve themselves fully in all areas of school life, both during the day in school/classroom situations, and in the evenings in the boarding house.

You will be regarded as a member of staff and so professional standards are expected at all times.
