Oxbridge Success for SLC Student

Our congratulations go to SLC student Adedamola Mosuro, who has been offered a place at Christ’s College Cambridge to read Law. Naturally enough, he is delighted and not a little surprised. “In fact it all seemed quite surreal when I heard the news,” he said. “The whole interview process was quite unpredictable and I couldn’t honestly tell, as I left Cambridge, whether I had been successful or not! The interview was tough – I wasn’t prepared for many of the questions that were asked, although what I DID prepare came in handy!”

Ade’s ambitions are to excel in all he does and eventually to become a first-rate lawyer. He may specialise in Maritime & Aviation Law, he says, as there is an obvious practical application when combined with business.

His advice to anyone contemplating Oxbridge next year is clear: “Make sure you are REALLY passionate about what you want to do, read around the subject as much as possible and go for it!”

He speaks warmly about the part that the College has played in his successful application: “ St. Lawrence has helped me to develop self-esteem and to organise myself better. The whole boarding experience has made me more mature and better at prioritising activities of all kinds. My self-confidence has improved a lot as a result of this experience”.
