The May Ball 2011
Following the Cava and canapés reception, our UVIth leavers took to the dance floor to perform a brilliant Saturday Night Fever routine. Encouraged by parents, staff and friends of the College, they strutted their stuff in stylish long dresses and tuxedos.
The one hundred and forty guests then sat down to a sensational three course dinner of asparagus spears, a mouth-watering cold buffet with new potatoes and a delicious creamy lemon posset.
The excellent live band had everyone dancing and conversation flowed over good wine and coffee. The Taylor Hall had been transformed into a silver, blue and white ballroom by the ever creative and hardworking Parents Guild. Fairy lights sparkled on indoor trees and tables were adorned with pearls and lilies.
A huge hamper, digital radio and bottles of champagne were won in the raffle and when carriages and stretch limos- departed at midnight, everyone agreed that this years Beauty and the Geek May Ball had been a great success.
