1st Form History Fieldtrip to St. Augustine's Abbey and Canterbury Cathedral
On Friday 20th May the whole of the First Form made the short journey to Canterbury to look at St. Augustine's Abbey and Canterbury Cathedral.
At the Abbey the pupils were able to indentify different parts of the building which they had learnt about as part of their study of monasticism, as well as to see various styles of architecture and building materials.
At the Cathedral, tour guides brought to life the story of Becket's murder, which they had recently studied at school. A very interesting afternoon was enjoyed by all.
