Former SLC Student joins All Angels

Former St. Lawrence College student Alexandra Lawrie (26) has just created a piece of musical history! She has won a nationwide competition, ANGEL IDOL, organised by the Classic FM radio station to join the all-girl group All Angels who shot to Number 1 in the classical music charts with their debut album in 2006.

Five finalists were chosen for audition from several thousand entries - and Alex was chosen by a panel of top record company executives.The prize – to join All Angels for a week and do one concert and one recording – was a wonderful experience for Alex who joined them for a breakfast TV appearance as well. The week culminated in a concert at St. James’ Church Piccadilly. She was then asked to sing with them again at Bluewater.

Alex has always been a talented vocalist and musician since her early days at St. Lawrence College Junior School and on through the Senior School when she came second in the BBC Choir Girl of the Year Award in 1995.
