Art Trip to London
The Art Department took all the GCSE and A Level sets to Tate Modern and Tate so that they could research their current projects and sketch in the galleries. At Tate some students particularly enjoyed seeing Ramsgate’s Pegwell Bay in a little oil on canvas by the Victorian artist William Dyce. At Tate Modern much excitement was to be had among the Cubists and Surrealists: Kitty and Rachel met Bono, who very kindly agreed to be photographed with students from the group and liberally dispensed autographs. Thanks to Mr Binks and Mr Robinson for organisation and inspiration - for a very successful day.Everyone enjoyed it.
