The Year 9 Curriculum (Age14)

Guided by the requirements of the National Curriculum, but ,as an Independent School, with the freedom to go above and beyond our Third Form curriculum provides a secure foundation for GCSE studies to be started the following year. The core subjects of English, French, Mathematics and Sciences are supplemented with Geography, History, Religious Studies and ICT, whilst greater breadth is achieved through Option Circuses with pupils taking at various times of the year Classical Civilisation, Music, Physical Education, Home Economics, Art and Design Technology. It is also possible to elect to take Latin and Spanish.

For subjects such as Mathematics and French pupils are placed in sets according to level of ability.
