Lodge

Lodge House is one of the two boys' boarding houses at St Lawrence College, and is situated at the very top of the main building, with some great views over the school grounds and over the channel to France. The stairs keep us fit, and we like to think, give us the edge in sports contests. We used to be known as the 'dark blue' House when first named in 1893, but the name was changed in 1929.

Mr. Single has taken over as the new housemaster, and is already making excellent progress with the house. Recent renovations have upgraded the rooms so that now all have en-suite facilities and internet access. Our current most famous old boy is Sir John Stevens, who was here 40 years ago, and used to be the Chief Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Force. He has been twice to visit Lodge house, and to meet the present Lodge boys. It is a friendly place to live and we regularly receive visits from past members.
