Duke of Edinburgh

The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme (DofE) is nationally recognised and is a most sought-after non-academic qualification with UK universities and employers.

It consists of three levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold, and within each level there are four component parts: Skill, Volunteering, Physical and Expeditions. A fifth Residential component is included at Gold level only.

Participants on the scheme will need to show commitment and determination to organise their activities. However, with the wealth of activities on offer at St Lawrence, it may be possible to do most components within the school.

Expeditions are organised by our own qualified staff and participants the opportunity to visit and walk in different areas of Britain's stunning and varied countryside. The skills covered on these expeditions should remain of use to pupils throughout their life.
