Inter House Lacrosse Matches
This year’s Inter House Lacrosse tournament proved to be the only competitive matches of the season, with no schools willing to pit themselves against the might of St. Lawrence College Junior School.
Not surprisingly the matches were typically fierce, with blood, sweat and tears on show from spectators and players alike! Fiske entered the competition feeling confident about their chances, buoyed by their victory in the football last term. Waymouth, as reigning champions, were looking to repeat their previous success and Sutton were modestly realistic about their chances. Ironically, it was the results in the first and last matches, both won by a single goal in the dying seconds of each match, that ultimately decided who the new champions would be. Once the dust had settled and the goals had been counted it became clear that Sutton had sealed a resounding, if somewhat unexpected, victory.
